In greeting to Mother’s Day, workers from different organizations and entities in the province participated, this Saturday, in the planting of three hectares of cane in areas of the Basic Cooperative Production Unit (UBPC) Bermejal, on the property of the sugar agroindustrial company. Commemorating such a beautiful day dedicated to Cuban mothers with their feet on the furrow was one more pretext to address the sugarcane plantation during a meeting that was led by Osnay Miguel Colina Rodríguez, member of the Central Committee of the Party and its first secretary in Villa Clara.

A zafarrancho to which the first millionaire of the mechanized cutting of the cane of the current harvest in Villa Clara and the country, Orlando Peña Sevilla, from this own UBPC, also joined, a goal that he achieved with his KTP-2M Machine in a tough struggle with resource constraints of all kinds.

Arobis Pérez, president of the UBPC dedicated to the production of organic cane, said that these mobilizations allow further progress in the plantation and referred to the commitment to plant the 101 hectares planned for the first half of the year.

With this day of work carried out, he pointed out, 63 of them were completed.
