In the development of the most recent ‘Government with popular neighborhoods’ developed in Santa Marta, the Ministry of Transportation presented to the attendees the specific projects and commitments on transportation, infrastructure, and clean energy issues for the department.

In Magdalena, the entity’s investment would reach the sum of $3.1 billion, in future periods, with 82 projects in execution, among which are works such as the Ciénaga-Barranquilla connection viaducts, the Momposina Transversal, and the Palermo-Salamina corridor. and El Banco-Cuatro Vientos.

Likewise, Santa Marta-Riohacha-Paraguachón, the Atlantic railway network, the Simón Bolívar airport and the structuring of the Las Mercedes and Las Flores airport, in the municipalities of El Banco and Plato, respectively.

On the other hand, by 2024 it is projected to allocate $9,742 million for the signing of solidarity agreements with Community Action Boards and for ethnic communities, within the framework of the Community Paths of Total Peace program.

“The above is part of the commitment to a pact for safe, healthy and sustainable mobility, which links intermodality, as well as the implementation of actions that allow greater productivity for the country, highlighting, for example, that in the Atlantic railway corridor – Santa Marta – Chiriguaná more than 10.2 million tons of thermal coal have been mobilized so far in 2024,” the Ministry indicated.
