JTBC has teased Lee Hyori’s upcoming variety show!
“Mom, Do You Want To Go On a Trip With Me?” (literal translation) is a road movie-style variety show in which Lee Hyori goes on a trip with her mother for the first time in her life. Filming was completed in two domestic travel destinations that Lee Hyori’s mother always wanted to visit.
It is said that Lee Hyori and her mother have never traveled together domestically, let alone abroad. When Lee Hyori was young, her parents were busy with her daily life and after her debut at the age of 19, Lee Hyori was also busy due to her scheduled activities. And more recently, Lee Hyori and her mother did not have the opportunity to travel together as they had to take care of Lee Hyori’s sick father. These journeys are expected to generate sympathy from viewers by showing the close but distant relationship between mother and daughter.
Production directors Ma Geon Young and Park Seong Hwan, who previously worked alongside Lee Hyori on the variety shows “Hyori’s Homestay” and “Camping Club,” are in charge of production. PD Ma Geon Young commented, “We hope that through this program, many daughters will have the opportunity to go on trips with their mothers before it is too late.”
