“Limits and Borders” exhibition by Fernanda Levine and Gonzalo Losada opens its doors at the Zapallar Theater

«Limits and Borders» is a collection of masterpieces created by Fernanda Levine and Gonzalo Losada that invites visitors to immerse themselves in a world of aesthetic reflection and exploration of the territory. This free exhibition is open to the public from May 18 to June 16, at the Zapallar Theater.

The outstanding artists, each with a unique approach and individual perspective, offer a contemporary vision of what we know as “territory”. Through painting, these artists invite us to explore the limits of representation from two divergent and complementary points of view at the same time.

Fernanda Levine challenges established conventions by deconstruct the painting of marine motifs and take it towards expressionist territories, with touches of modernism. His work not only encompasses traditional painting, but also integrates elements of collage and image generation through artificial intelligence platforms, adding layers of complexity and meaning to his works.

On the other hand, Gonzalo Losada adopts a perspective of “anti monumentality”, placing his images in small “found” formats, and depicting motifs taken from nature with an impressionistic approach. His connection with nature, influenced by his upbringing and personal experiences, is clearly reflected in his work, which seeks to capture the changing and dynamic essence of the world around us.

“The exhibition invites us to explore deeper reasons, such as the fragility of human effort in the face of the empire of nature.”comments Rodrigo Ossandón, director of the Zapallar Culture Foundation, who also adds that “it is an honor to welcome two such talented artists whose works challenge our perceptions and invite us to reflect on the world we inhabit.”

The “Limits and Borders” exhibition is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of these talented artists and explore the complexities of the territory, both physically and conceptually.
