Description submitted by the project team. The Manguatá Building is the third project we developed for the TiCO incorporation company in the Brooklin region. The development has 22 apartments, from 46 to 84 m2 of private area, distributed over 6 floors and a store on the ground floor.
Located on a 20x20m plot, the building proposes a responsible increase in density that positively transforms the environment. The premises on the ground floor invite pedestrians to look at the window, making the street a more attractive, pleasant and safe place. The widened sidewalk and the absence of railings, separating the building from the city, result in a project that integrates into the urban landscape and proposes a smooth transition between public and private space. Upon entering the building, people are greeted with a dense garden and an artistic mural in hydraulic tiles.
The apartments have floor-to-ceiling windows throughout their perimeter that allow natural lighting and ventilation, in addition to integrating the environments into private planters, dialoguing with the wooded landscape of the region.
So that everyone could enjoy the privileged view, we implemented the recreation area on the terrace. This meeting space for residents has a living room, a large garden terrace, as well as a kitchen and laundry room for collective use.
