Flowers for a knotted inside presents, as the poet expresses, “a particular and ethereal atmosphere, a translation from the outside, the cosmogonic, the hostile, subtly exploring the nature of search on planet Earth, the human wandering and the interaction with what surrounds us.”

The author crosses the threshold with sensitivity towards the internal, entering “a safe place, of rest, of home.”“. He “weaves flowers from the world into the poems, which are nobody’s flowers,” and appropriates them “to make them part of the collective dramaturgy.” “Sometimes, they work as a balm; others have thorns.

Flowers of many types from the human and social perspective, without escaping the nature of creation and the cycles of the earth, to transfer them, almost at the end of the collection of poems, to what is linked to childhood,” says Paula, to his personal core.

About the author

Paula grew up in El Algarrobal, Mendoza, surrounded by what she considers to be stimulants for the path of writing. She grew up among animals, flowers and fruits. ““My past loaded with flowers and apocalypse binds me,” expresses in one of his poems. Childhood was his safe home, the figures of women from his family tree, gadgets and creatures that he still remembers as portals.

The writer developed in areas of Health. Out of curiosity, she began studying Archeology and poetry. She attended narrative writing and poetry workshops for some years. She was selected to publish in the anthology Heavyweights – fatactive texts (2022, Fracture Editions).

He recognizes the influence of Surrealism in his creation. Other poets, such as Federico García Lorca and Alejandra Pizarnik, forged his enthusiasm when writing. In his search for it, he immersed himself in the artistic areas of painting, singing and theater, and managed to reconcile all the baggage in this collection of poems. The author condenses dreamlike nature, plays and crosses two worlds and allows her to move sensitively to her own home, of flowers, imperfect, human and acceptance.

We share one of the poems of Flowers for a knotted inside:

Si me presiona el mundo ataré flores /a mi conciencia
de guirnaldas a margaritas
arrancaré raíces de macetas llenas de soledad
esparciré en un pequeño espacio
/semillas de pensamientos
copularé la tundra en la ciudad
la guardaré en mi placard ambulante
/de flores recolectadas
para las ocasiones de festividad
