Xochitl Galvezpresidential candidate for Fuerza y Corazón por México, admitted that during the Second Presidential Debate referred to Claudia Sheinbaum as “narco candidate” for the accusations that journalist Anabel Hernández makes towards the Sigamos Making History candidate in her most recent book.
However, the opposition presidential candidate also revealed that she referred to Claudia Sheinbaum with that word despite the fact that I hadn’t read the book by Anabel Hernández, which is titled “The Secret History. “AMLO and the Sinaloa Cartel.”

“You did not call Morena a narco party in the debate. You called Claudia Sheinbaum a person narco candidate. In response, Xóchitl Gálvez said that his reference for calling Claudia Sheinbaum a “narco candidate” was the book Anabel Hernandezin the last chapter called “The Heiress.”

Xóchitl Gálvez was then questioned by journalist René Delgado, moderator of the table, about whether it would not be up to her to present a complaint against Claudia Sheinbaum for pointing her out ad hominem of “narco candidate.”

According to the electoral authority, these statements by Gálvez Ruiz could constitute the imputation of a false fact or crime with an impact on the electoral process, and is likely to constitute slander.
“I could call her a narco candidate, right? Because its not true. As Head of Government, she knows that land uses are determined by Mexico City. Why didn’t she demolish them? So, from now on: narco candidate,” Gálvez Ruiz said in the debate.
