“We can transmit to our children, through teaching and example, a faith that ignores the reality of the Last Judgment or a faith that prepares them for that event.”

Self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet has showcased Thomas Fitzhugh’s book Sheets, “Christian: etiquette or lifestyle” at the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

the cover of “Christian: etiquette or lifestyle” features a photograph of the author’s dear friend, Jerry Payne, held by his great-grandfather, William Arthur Snidow. Jerry was introduced to the Holiness Doctrine of living in anticipation and preparation for the Second Coming from William Arthur Snidow, born in 1860. This faith and way of life inspired the author’s books. Jerry passed this faith and lifestyle on to the author, who incorporated it into his writings. The author’s work is a testament to the lasting impact of the teachings of William Arthur Snidow.

Living a life of obedience to the Word of God becomes more meaningful as we anticipate the Second Coming of Jesus. Each generation is responsible for teaching godly family values to the next generation and it is our greatest gift to them… Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets has written a book that he hopes will help this cause. In the book, he talks about the Greek name for familial or generational love, Storge Love. He believes that this affectionate love should be present in the other three types of love: Eros, Philia and Agape.

Author
Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets is an eighty-year-old semi-retired businessman who, although he never attended university, has had a reasonably successful career. He now lives on Providence Farm in Bedford County, Virginia, and currently runs a beef cattle operation, raising calves for the feedlot market. During conversations with a friend, a retired pastor and a Marine chaplain who decided he was “done with church,” Tom was challenged to write a book. His friend understood his continued frustration with both the message and direction of the established church and felt that many others shared this frustration.

Tom, who has a heart for the lost within the church, believes that the church has been hijacked by the instant gratification crowd. Thus, he felt challenged to address this topic, and as a result of this challenge, he developed, on that Day, “The Path to the Restoration, The Death of the Promise and the Resurrection of the Promised One” and “Christian: Etiquette or Style of life”.
