The story of the President’s books will deserve more than a footnote in the history of the Argentine publishing industry. In addition to the accusations of copying without citing paragraphs from national and international economists in his new book, made to Javier Milei, and of recording false academic data in the Spanish edition of The Libertarian Wayfrom the Deusto label (of the Planeta Group), in the last few hours a complaint was added by the economist and political scientist Nicolás Dvoskin on the social network The end of inflation (2023) by Milei and Ma vie for a combat. Both covers, with the authors in a “Tusamesque” gesture (in reference to those of the mentalist and hypnotist Juan José del Pozo, known as Tu Sam or Tusam) of stopping something, are quite similar. Milei’s is a retouched photo taken by the current representative of La Libertad Avanza Lilia Lemoine.

From the publishing group, the head of Planeta Art, Mario Blanco, told LA NACION that he had never seen Leclerc’s book. “Nor, obviously, the cover of it,” he remarked. The photo was given to us by Lilia Lemoine. I understand that in the history of the graphic market there must be many more cases of photos with the ‘stop’ gesture, so the comment seems more malicious to me than anything else.. In other words, the ‘similarity’ is just a coincidence.”
After Milei’s presentation at Luna Park (with recital included) in Capitalism, socialism and the neoclassical trap (Planet), lThe sales of this title gained new momentum and the book was positioned on the best-seller lists. The publisher reported that eleven thousand copies have been printed so far in three editions.
