Editorial Voces de la CPE presented its new publication this weekend. It is “Utracán and other award-winning works”, a book that brings together three works by Omar Lopardo, playwright, author and theater director from Pampa. Puzzle, one of the three works, went on stage last Saturday the 15th, in the ATTP room. “Utracán…” is already in the distribution stage among the almost 650 members of the cooperative publishing house.

At the beginning of the event, before a very large audience, Lopardo highlighted the cultural work of Voces and was deeply grateful both for the publication and also because the El Chasqui theater group, from the Buenos Aires city of Chivilcoy, accepted the invitation to upload it. to stage.

Acosta

Alberto Acosta, for his part, maintained that there was a “debt” of the Cooperative Editorial with the theatrical universe of our region, a genre that has a vast history and experience of decades, with a large number of authors, actors and actresses and works awarded. He emphatically recalled the figure of Santiago Marzo, one of the historical references of the CPE, who “was a man of theater but also a promoter of the formation of groups in various places in our province.” He highlighted, simultaneously, that for the CPE it is very gratifying that the first publication with works of the theatrical genre is by Omar Lopardo.

Puzzle

Carlos Girotti and Guillermo Medice, under the direction of Silvana Torres, gave life to the two characters who for almost an hour expose the various pieces of the puzzle of life: love and lack of love, anger and violence, guilt and conscience, memory and oblivion. The plot develops by stringing together the aforementioned pieces, with an intense dramatic tone not without fine humor, until a denouement where the director and both actors play their own imprints, giving a twist to the ending written by Lopardo. “They improve and complete it,” said the author.

Added to Torres’ directing work was the participation of his assistant, Juliana Méndez, and the outstanding coordination of lights and sounds – which marked the entire presentation, generating the atmospheres and enhancing the performances – by technician Facundo Gardella.

Puzzle received the Nuestro Teatro 2021 award, from the Cervantes National Theater; Un Tango, the Carlos Gorostiza 2019 award, from the Argentine Union of Authors, and Utracán, the first playwriting award 2023 from the National Theater Institute. Acosta especially thanked the ATTP team for the possibility of using the room for this opportunity and collaborated with the attention of the Chivilcoy theater team.
