The twenty-eighth edition (28th) of the Lima International Book Fair will be held from July 19 to August 6 in the mythical park Heroes of Independence no. 1600 (Salaverry Avenue) in Jesús María. The event will last almost three weeks and will be days full of texts, art and other cultural experiences.

At the conference last Thursday, June 27, Jesus Galvezthe mayor of the district where this event will be held, announced good news regarding tickets.

Although, that is not the only news because according to the official page of Teleticket the FIL of Lima: there is another group of people who will be able to enter without paying and thus enjoy the different activities.

According to the web portal, Children 1-5 years and adults over 65 They will also enter this great fair for free. The same thing happened in previous editions.

  • Children and teenagers Ages 6 to 17 must enter accompanied by a responsible adult, each with their own entrance.
  • Regular Basic Education Teachers (EBR): They must present a payment receipt or work center ID, both upon entering and when purchasing their ticket (original documents must be shown).
  • Students of universities and institutes: They must show a valid university or institute ID both upon entering and at the time of purchase.
  • Conadis special tickets: They are exclusive for people who present their CONADIS card and DNI upon entry.

It should be noted that, initially, the designation of the Próceres de la Independencia Park as headquarters of the FIL 2024 was in doubt, however, it will continue to host visitors.

“The choice of the park responds both to its deep historical significance and to its strategic location. This space, which houses monuments and emblematic places related to our independence, will provide a perfect setting for the fair’s activities and will allow visitors to connect with the history of Peru in a unique way,” said Ricardo Muguerza, president of the Peruvian Book Chamber.

Visitors will be able to explore a wide variety of comics, action figures and merchandising. In addition, cultural activities related to this theme will be scheduled, including talks by authors, drawing workshops and cosplay contests.

Also, during the event, tribute will be paid to the outstanding Peruvian poet Rossella Di Paolo. The organizers have decided to recognize his extensive career and the literary legacy that he has left at a national and international level.
