Televid, the channel of the Marian Congregation in Medellín, has just reached one of the most important milestones in the 24 years it has been on the air.
Televid reached 2,000,000 followers on the YouTube platform, a figure that makes it on the Catholic channel with the largest number of subscribers worldwide, even above Vatican Newsthe Vatican news outlet that presents all the Pope’s tours and activities, or Ewtn, Mother Angelica’s channel.
As if that were not enough, the daily broadcast of the Eucharist is also the most viewed in the world, with an average daily view of 120,000. On Sundays the reach of views exceeds 170,000 reveals Juan Carlos Greiffenstein Arango, manager of Televid.

“This whole phenomenon occurs from a small chapel – studio located on the television channel of the Marian Congregation in Medellín,” notes the manager, who details that Facebook the channel has 2,600,000 followersand that the average duration of a Televid viewing is 15 minutes “much higher than what is naturally observed among YouTube users.
On X (Twitter) he has 16,200 followers, while on Instagram he has 118,000 subscribers.
From the channel they point out that in 2023 total views were 130,000,000 and that the countries with the greatest reach are Colombia, Mexico, the United States, Peru and Ecuador, but they provide an audience in nations as distant as Australia, Angola, India, the United Arab Emirates and Bulgaria.
In the past Holy Weeka, with the live broadcasts of the processions and liturgical celebrations, the channel finished positioning its name.
The TV signal can be tuned to channel 65 in SD and 217 in HD on Tigo; at 931 Claro and 821 Movistar.
