In the last decades the technology It not only became a basic tool, but part of our daily lives, to the point that it is almost impossible to imagine what it would be like to perform tasks without it.

Without a doubt, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted people around the world to become closer to the internet of things, to in turn, get closer to the people from whom they had to physically distance themselves. Suddenly, even the most reluctant people approached technology and had to learn how to use it to take advantage of it.

However, things did not end with the pandemic. It has become more than clear that technology will not only continue in our lives, but will continue to gain importance in the way we carry out all our activities, which is why it is necessary that our understanding and knowledge continue to expand to avoid being left behind.

Textile technology is that which is responsible for improving garments and textile derivatives. That is, more value is added to make it stand out from the rest.

The main function of all technology is to improve some element, meeting a goal or objective.

In this case, the main function is to improve in all aspects the functions of a garment that guarantees a good quality product.

Therefore, textile technology includes attributes to a garment that was created with a specific purpose to evolve. Just as more elements were added to mobile phones, becoming what we know today as “smartphones,” this can also be applied to pendras.

For example, for winter times, thermal capture technologies were created and in summer or sports clothing, technologies were designed that allow the body to breathe.

And just like those, there are more examples that demonstrate how technology is capable of covering almost any area.

Below, we can mention some examples led by big brands in the textile industry. Among the examples we have the following:

  • Sportswear . As we already mentioned, technologies that promote individual perspiration have been included in sports clothing. Among the companies that have made this possible we have Adidas, Nike and Puma who are the creators of technologies such as “Climacool”, “Dri-FIT” and “Dry Cell”. This added element improves user performance.
  • Classic and formal clothing . In this section we can find technologies such as “Easy Iron” and “Non Iron”. Both are from Zara and ensure that clothes do not wrinkle after washing and while they are worn, making ironing much easier and improving the user’s appearance.
  • Thermal clothing . Just as there are technologies that promote the user’s perspiration for performance or for those hot times, special technologies were also created for winter days. Among these we have “Tech Termic”, which belongs to Sprinter’s winter sports line, Boriken.
  • Specialized clothing . They are those created with the purpose of improving performance in the field for which it was created. An example of these could be bulletproof vests, dance clothing, athletes’ clothing and much more. This example, without a doubt, is one of the broadest, so it can easily be classified according to the field in which it is used.

Likewise, it facilitates instant communication and connection with people from all over the world, breaking geographical barriers. Additionally, smart security systems provide a higher level of home comfort and protection. Adopting these technological tools can mean a step towards optimizing time and improving quality of life, while opening the way to discovering new opportunities and learning.
