Eight homes and one premises will go out to public auction with a starting price of one euro in the Barcelona town of Arts, located in the Bages region. This is a series of properties valued between 91,125 and 126,000 euros each, with surfaces ranging between 80 and 112 meters, with garage and storage room included. The auctions come from the bankruptcy of the company Caviar Investments SL, and will remain open on the Escrapalia portal until next May 21 at 12:30 p.m.

Both the homes and the premises are located in the same building, located at number 43 Rocafort Street. The building, built in 2007, consists of 4 floors with two apartments for each one, and It has an elevator, storage rooms and garages. The premises, located on the ground floor of the building, have 285 square meters built, with an appraisal value of 82,000 euros.

Currently, there is a lease contract of the bankrupt company for all the homes as of April 30, 2021, with a duration of 10 years and rent of 9,600 euros. In the case of the premises, the contract dates from September 27, 2007 with a duration until January 2018 and a rent of 2,300 euros. This contract was later extended.

On March 5, 2024, the Commercial Court No. 1 of Barcelona authorized the specific liquidation rules proposed by the bankruptcy administration. According to these regulations, “To carry out the Lots (previously carried out) by this means, the Administration Bankruptcy will be interested in obtaining a minimum of three specialized companies, choosing the one that is of greatest interest for the competition.”. After this process, SURUS was selected as the specialized entity in charge of carrying out the electronic auction through its Escrapalia site.

To participate in the home auction, it is necessary to submit a security deposit ranging between 4,100 and 6,300 euros, depending on the value of the property. “These amounts will be returned if the participant is not the winner of the auction.” In circumstances where the participant is the winner, said deposit will be adjusted when making the payment of the sales commission. “To be a winner you will have to have made the highest bid”. At the end of the auction, an email notification will be sent to the participant with the highest bid.
