The market gains, after the closure of Wall Street due to yesterday being a federal holiday, are largely due to the momentum of Nvidia, which rose 3% in the early stages of the stock market. So far this year, the chipmaker’s shares have soared 174%.

By sector, the gains in energy (0.79%) and public services (0.6%) and the losses in real estate (-0.46%) and health (-0.36%) stood out.

Among the 30 stocks of the Dow Jones they led the advances Salesforce (2.34%) and IBM (1.37%), while the greatest losses were for Dow (-1.68%) and Boeing (-1.26%).
