Alquería announced that will reduce prices on the brand’s family milk references, in order to encourage dairy consumption in Colombia.

Last March, Alquería had already reduced prices in its lactose-free line, but now it will extend this initiative to the original flavor line, with which consumers, depending on the sales channel and the reference, will see a reduction between 5% and 13% in price, in products that represent nearly 60% of the company’s milk portfolio.

The implementation of this price reduction It will begin in neighborhood stores (traditional channel) and will extend to supermarkets in the next 15 days, as inventories are replaced.

“This price reduction reflects our efforts to make our high-quality products accessible to everyone. We want more households to enjoy our milk, while we continue working to strengthen the dairy industry in the country,” said Rafael Álvarez, CEO of Alquería.

According to a study conducted by Kantar, between 2020 and 2023 the purchase of liquid milk in Colombia has experienced a 24% reduction in volume.

During this time, Colombian households extended the repurchase of milk, going from every six days in 2020 to every 10 days in 2023.
