The singer’s eleventh studio album is number 1 direct in the country with the Platinum Record certification, something completely unusual in recent years. This means that ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ has sold a stratospheric figure of more than 40,000 albums in Spain during its first week. To put this feat in perspective, ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ was already Swift’s best debut in Spain with the Gold Record certification (+20,000 sales). Now we are talking about double.
But Taylor Swift has not only reigned thanks to enormous vinyl sales, a list in which ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is also top 1 in the country, but her streaming data has been exorbitant.
