One of the most remembered films by the great Robin Williams was the comedy ‘Dad Forever’. Now 10 years after his tragic death, part of the main cast reunited in a tender image.

It is almost impossible for someone not to have seen Dad Forever, a 90s classic that has made different generations laugh, because Robin Williams showed us through his sense of humor everything a father would be capable of to reunite with his children. Now, 10 years after his tragic suicide, some of the protagonists shared a tender image of their reunion.

“How funny that the same week I went to San Francisco, I was able to meet up with my Doubtfire brothers!” mentioned Mara Wilson through Instagram, who at the time was one of the most important child actresses in the world. Yes, she also starred in Matilda alongside Danny DeVito.

The series of images show Wilson alongside Lisa Jakub and Matthew Lawrence, who played Daniel’s (Robin Williams) children, who after separating from his wife Miranda (Sally Field), poses as an elderly nanny so he can spend more time with his little ones; although this also meant putting up with his ex-partner’s boyfriend, Stuart (Pierce Brosnan).

This is how the fans of the film have received a great moment with the tender reunion of the three little ones from this endearing film, which – for a moment – andwas about to have a sequel. This was revealed last year by director Chris Columbus in an interview with Business Insider.

“It’s something interesting. Back then, there was an attitude that artists looked down on sequels. So Robin was against making a sequel immediately after”.

He and I didn’t talk about a sequel until the year he passed away.

He even shared that a script already existed, but clearly after Williams’ tragic death was confirmed, everything was immediately canceled. “We had a script written and it was the last time I saw Robin.”

“I went to his house and we sat down and talked about it and the script was really solid. Robin’s only comment was: ‘Do I have to wear the suit that long this time?’ It was physically demanding. For Robin, I think it was like running a marathon every day while she was wearing the Doubtfire costume.. She was older, obviously. So we talked about it and I think I was hoping that in the rewrite we would reduce Doubtfire’s character. But then Robin passed away, so there will never be a sequel to ‘Dad Forever.'”
