Marbella became a true dream city for Antonio Banderas, who years ago fell in love with its streets and decided to buy a residence in the town of Los Monteros, which he called “La Gaviota”. And now he is the owner of a new restaurant from the renowned and historic Pimpi wineries, which were founded in Malaga in 1971 and of which he is also a partner. “Marbella is the land where my daughter was born and the second Pimpi project was born, of which, now, I am a witness from its beginning,” said the actor and businessman in an emotional speech in front of everyone present.

“The most important restaurants in the world are here (in Marbella): Cipriani, Coya, Gaia, Nobu… So, being in this club is something very special for us,” Antonio assured the magazine ¡HOLA!.
As it could not be otherwise, the guests were welcomed with a drink.

“My daughter Stella was born in Marbella and now this Pimpi 2.0 is born. “Full satisfaction,” wrote Antonio Banderas on one of the barrels, where well-known figures such as Lola Flores, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí also wrote his signature in the past.

At the inauguration, Banderas was accompanied by his girlfriend Nicole Kimpel, with whom he has been in a relationship for ten years and they appeared as happy and in love as the first day. They were also part of the game Philippe Junotthe ex-husband of Caroline of Monaco, and Ángeles Muñoz, the mayor of Marbella. Antonio took the opportunity to recall anecdotes from El Pimpi in Málaga. “I took my first girlfriends to dinner there.” In addition, he said that scenes from his debut film, The Way of the English, were filmed in that emblematic location in 2006.

Philippe Junot, the ex-husband of Carolina de Monaco, did not want to miss the celebration.
