In a photo production in the best Barbiecore style with fashionista looks and her charisma in the foreground, Laurita Fernandez speaks in depth about her great professional moment: she is the protagonist of Legally blonde and also the cover of PEOPLE Magazine this week.
He classified his current theater project as the most challenging of his career. According to what she said, she prepared hard to take on the role of Elle Woods, since she is on stage for one hour and forty-five minutes, (singing, dancing and acting) from Wednesday to Sunday.
But he also talked about his personal and love life. In 2022 she whitewashed her relationship with Claudio Brusca, whom I knew from work. He was her producer on television, and little by little love developed, until today they enjoy sharing life and dream of a future together: with a pet included, Honey.
Many ask him “When are you getting married?”because they see them happily in love, and he answers that honestly and without hesitation in this interview.
-A year ago in GENTE we asked you what your dreams were and you answered: “Travel, have a pet and start my own family”… Now, in this meeting we can confirm that all three wishes were fulfilled. Do you believe in the power of manifestation?
-Wow! Guys, how scary! I believe a lot in manifestation. In fact, what Legally blonde I have stated this since 2018, when they told me that the work existed. Being part of a musical comedy… Driving too, on the entertainment side. I remember expressing it and it happened… I don’t know if it’s with everything, but I feel that it is not something to be forced, but something that has to be born. I don’t know how to explain it, but it has happened to me, yes, I admit it.
-Now that you took the step of living with Claudio, was it difficult for you to adapt, how has everything flowed?
-I’m going to confess that my fear was, I don’t know, thinking that if we fought we might have to sleep together (laughs). So I said, “Well, that’s it! Let’s try it.” And the truth is that it has been very easy to live with him. We get along really good.
-Are housework divided?
-What I was telling you, we complement each other. He loves to cook and I am good at household chores such as electricity, plumbing, carpentry, repairs… Maybe there are things I don’t know how to do, but I have the skills to solve them. I like to take care of that.
–Where did you learn all those things?
-From my old lady and my grandmother, who was a butcher and did everything. So I get that from the women in my family. With Pelu we found a very good balance in that sense.
-And how is it for you to work together and now live together?
-That was also our fear, and luckily we got along great. For me it is very important that he can understand my schedules, my tricks and when I am focused on my projects. Because it is not easy to accompany someone with this pace of life and this profession. Pelu understands me again and I understand him, because his job as a producer is also quite demanding.
From the “marriage proposal” to Laurita’s sincere response
-Is it true that he already asked you to marry him?
-He always tells me this as a joke.but I already told him not to propose it to me because I’m going to answer, at least now, no. If you know that the other does not have that desire, for me the most practical thing is to explain that I don’t want it, but not because I don’t love him. I love him, but it is not my desire to get married. Today I have no desire to get married.
-Is it a resounding no, or one of those that can be reversed?
-Today I don’t want to get married, maybe later I don’t know, it happens… Just like when I told him I wanted to bring a dog home, he wasn’t very convinced, and now that Miel arrived he wants to always have her with him. I told him: don’t surprise me. We laughed our asses off and now he tells me it as a joke.
-You always say that he is very detail-oriented and that you are not so much, but what do you feel is your love language or how do you seek to surprise your partner?
-Actually, he is so romantic that what I do will always be below his demonstrative level. He wins me over with his details and his ideas. But now that I think about it, he told me that, because he was a producer, the people around him always assumed that he organized everything. So now I assumed the role of producer in the relationship a little and I try to solve his life in that aspect: I organize trips, getaways… I like to propose plans and have them already resolved. That’s my way of showing my love.
–Although they are obviously very different things, do you in some way feel that Miel’s arrival is preparing you to be parents?
-(Laughs) You could say that it is a previous step or comes closer to that responsibility. I understand that being a mother must be, ugh!!, something else, but I was one of those who didn’t understand why people slept with dogs or called them “children”, and now that we have Miel I understand all that! Honey? At eight months it is already an earthquake. She is quite hyperactive, similar to the mother.
-Are you already going to the canal and the theater?
-I can’t take it anymore. If I leave her in the dressing room she will eat everything, bite my shoes… it would be terrible. I left her alone at home and I have a little camera to keep an eye on. Days ago, when I turned her on, I saw how she was taking things out of my dresser, taking them to her bed and breaking everything… I challenge her, but then I hug her because she blames me (laughs). That’s why she doesn’t encourage me anymore: she’s more naughty.
