Estela TureoDirector of Nursing of the Public Health Secretariat of the Municipality of Río Gallegos, spoke with TimeSouth from CAPS Peliche, for Nursing Day.

“Today we celebrate International Nursing Day. Nursing is having empathy, helping well-being and health, and dedicating all the love and care that each patient needs,” he assured.

Regarding the work that the Secretariat has been carrying out, he maintained that “we continue with the issue of vaccination. We do many territorial devices, where we also provide nursing care that we bring to neighbors who cannot come to us there.”

He added that “today we have a device in the Los Lolos neighborhood, in the La Esperanza dining room, where we are going to be accompanied by a dentist, we are going to carry the diabetes detection module, the control of the healthy child and the vaccination.”

Furthermore, “tomorrow we will be at La Anónima in the Evita neighborhood and on Friday at Carrefour in the Center. We brought the diabetes detection module to the supermarkets, with which we have had great results; several neighbors have come to check their glucose and blood pressure levels.”

Finally, he greeted all the nurses on his day and said: “We greet all our colleagues. “We continue working for the well-being of the entire population.”
