He health area of ​​Ourense, Verín and O Barco de ValdeorraThis Tuesday, s welcomed the future doctors, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and biologists who will be trained in the province. The new MIR residents who will complete their training stage in the province of Ourense live an intense day of welcome this Tuesday, with several official events.

In total there are 57 young people who will complete their training in their disciplines of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Psychology and Biology in the Ourense health area. Its manager, Félix Rubial, was in charge of receiving them at the Ourense hospital center. 70% of the future healthcare workers who will be trained in Ourense are women.

Family and Community Medicine is the service with the most places awarded. In addition, there will be residents in the areas of Mental Health, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Digestive System, Nephrology, Pulmonology, General and Digestive Surgery, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology. They will also have residents in the services of Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Radiodiagnosis and for the specialties of Clinical Analysis, Hospital Pharmacy, Hematology, Intensive Care Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Public Occupational Health.

Most of them will have a stay of four years, while for some it will be a year longer.
