The Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires confirmed the realization of the Second Edition of the International Film Festival of the Province of Buenos Aires (FICPBA), which will take place from September 4 to 14, 2024 under the motto “Diversity unites us.”
In this framework, the organism that leads Florence Saintout, announced that film registration has been open since April 30 and will extend until June 30. This registration is free and is intended for productions of long and short films, national and international, of all genres.
From the organization they indicated that “they must be films that focus on the concepts of Identity and Diversity.” The titles may be noted by the producers, or by those who own the rights to the work.
For this new edition, the organization announced that the various productions will be able to participate in international competitions in sections such as Fiction and Documentary Feature Films; that of Fiction, Documentary and/or Animation Short Films, among others.
In addition, there will be special sections such as International Panorama, Argentine Panorama, Women and Dissidence, Ventana Bonaerense, among other approaches that promise diverse and enriching programming.
In 2023, the first edition of FICPBA had more than 200 screenings that attracted 25 thousand people from 26 countries. The festival spread throughout 40 municipalities, including the first provincial meeting of film students, exhibitions, talks and concerts that enriched the Buenos Aires identity throughout 10 days of cinematographic celebration.
