The Cannes red carpet vibrated this Thursday with the most anticipated return of this 77th edition, that of Francis Ford Coppolawho appeared with a cane and a Panama hat to climb the steps of the Festival Palace arm in arm with Adam Driverthe protagonist of his Megalopolis.

Coppola was also accompanied to Cannes by her granddaughter Romy Marsdaughter of the director Sofia Coppolaand his sister Talia Shirewho plays one of the characters in this film that will compete for the Palme d’Or.

Adam Driverdressed in a white jacket tuxedo, was also greeted with cheers from the crowd of spectators and curious onlookers who came to the Croisette, with whom he took photos and signed autographs.

And although the members of the Palme d’Or jury do not usually see the films in the official sessions, the filmmaker and actress made an exception for Coppola. Greta Gerwigwho is the president of the evaluation committee of this 77th edition, the Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona and the French actor Omar Sy.
