Furiosa: from the Mad Max saga is set several years before the events of Mad Max: Fury Roadfeaturing a much younger version of Imperator Furiosa, the woman with the shaved head and bionic arm who helped Max Rockatansky. In this prequel-like installment we are told the origin of Furiosa, a young woman who was snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and who finds herself involved in the war between two ringleaders: the already known Immortan Joe (Lachy Hulme) and the Lord of the Dementus War (Chris Hemsworth). Furious, she will have to find a way to survive to return home while she gets involved in this bloody war between two very bloodthirsty sides.

The most curious thing of all is that Anya Taylor-Joy does not even have such an active participation in the film, at least not verbally. The actress barely has 30 lines of dialogue in a film that lasts more than two and a half hours. Maybe that’s why her experience with Furiosa: from the Mad Max saga It was so traumatic for the actress that she was quite reluctant to give more details about it. “I’ve never been more alone than making that movie. I don’t want to get too deep into it, but everything I thought was going to be easy was hard.” Taylor-Joy admitted. When asked why she could make her say that, the interpreter closed her mouth: “Next question, I’m sorry. We will talk in 20 years.”

For his part, his co-star Chris Hemsworth praised Taylor-Joy’s work, although once again hinting at the hard process they had undergone: “What they ask you to delve into and show emotionally is exhausting. What she did seemed inspiring to me because she was there every day for months and months and she was as fiercely protective of the character as one would want,” stressed the Australian. We will have to wait until May 24 to see them both in action, but it seems that Furiosa’s torture has gone far beyond what is seen on screen.
