“The confinement ended up killing him”: son of Luis Dimas opened up about his father’s death

This 2024 will be three years since Luis Dimas passed away. The iconic Chilean singer died on November 17, 2021, and his son Samid keeps the best memories of the artist, and recently referred to the conditions in which the musician found himself when he left this world.

In conversation with Publimetro, the singer also recalled what his father’s departure was like, pointing out that he never thought he would die the way he did. “It was an earthquake in my life, because I never thought that his death would have occurred under the circumstances that it did. I swear to you that I always thought my dad was going to die on that stage.”, he started saying.

In addition, he added that the death of Luis Dimas “was a long-term issue because my father’s mental health deteriorated due to the pandemic. The pandemic ended it, not because of COVID, but because of the confinement”.

“The confinement ended by killing and really, dying of grief. I believe that many of the things that happened to him, health-wise, were due to not doing what he loved, because it was his life, the stage was really his life”Samid detailed.
