The concert agenda in Colombia continues to move towards the second half of 2024. And although at the moment the predominance of the artists announced to close the live activity of 2024 was mainly in the confirmations of Feid’s concerts in Medellín and Bogotá, for lovers of the most challenging trends in alternative music came a long-awaited announcement: the return of singer-songwriter Aurora Aksnes, better known by her stage name, Aurora.

Recognized as one of the most daring and risky artists on the art pop scene, the singer returns to the country after a dazzling presentation at the Estéreo Picnic 2023 Festival.

On this occasion, it will be a solo concert that will take place on November 6 at the Gran Carpa Bogotá, which is part of the third leg of his tour. What Happened to the Earth?with which he has already toured the United States and Europe and with which he will present his album of the same name, which will be published on June 7.

This leg of the tour will travel through Latin America. It includes three dates in Mexico, after which the singer-songwriter will arrive in Bogotá and then continue with performances in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil during the rest of the month of November.

After completing the pre-sale aimed at the Aurora fan club and Spotify subscribers, The sale has already been launched for the general public this Wednesday, May 29. Tickets can be purchased through eTicket and will be transferred to attendees to the Electronic Ticket mobile app. For this reason, $7,000 pesos must be added to the ticket price for the service. The event will be exclusive for adults.

“Latin America is very different from where I come from, people are more open with their emotions and are more grateful, show more love and are a little more expressive and colorful,” explained the singer during a talk with Time before giving the first presentation of his career in Colombia.

On that occasion Aurora arrived presenting The Gods We Can Touchhis third album that maintained the characteristics that have characterized his musical career that began in 2012. That is, a sound dominated by synthesizers less moved by rhythm and more designed to generate a cinematic aura, capable of captivating listeners and then, live, capable of taking them to another level with the ancient costumes he wears, his histrionic movements and his usually minimalist staging but evoking the fascination with nature and open spaces that characterizes him.

In 2015 it began to be played frequently on digital platforms with Runaway and Running With The Wolves, songs that she wrote when she was still a child and that even made it to television. A year after her, her debut was published All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friendconceived through Aurora’s personal experiences during her childhood, positioning herself as a rising promise.

Then came the two-part publication of Infections of a Different Kindwith which its lyrics began to add themes related to the empowerment of minorities or environmental impact, something evident in the singles Queendom, The Seed and The Riverin which growth was evident both at the compositional level and in the visual proposal.

Later came recognition among a broader audience with his participation in the film Frozen IIperforming the main theme Into the Unknown and also playing a role in the Disney feature film as the Voice of the North Wind.

Their third album, The Gods We Can Touchwas published in 2022 and took inspiration from Greek mythology to explore themes of gender or sexual identity. From there came the lead single, Cure For Meone of the 13 songs he performed at Estéreo Picnic. As for his fourth full-length, What Happened to the Earth?three singles have been released to date: Your Blood, The Conflict Of The Mindand Some Type Of Skin.
