The envelopes that triggered the upsets

For this test, There were three envelopes that altered the course of the competition. The first one to open forced the contestants to change cooking stations and finish developing their classmates’ dishes.

The singer ‘Martina La Peligrosa’ and the actress Ilenia Antonini exchanged their plates, while the actor and producer Camilo Sáez and the comedian Franko Bonilla rotated their work stations.

Minutes later, the contents of the second envelope were revealed, which instructed the reality show participants to incorporate a sweet touch into their culinary creations. It should be noted that everyone had chosen salt avocados.

After imposing these two conditions on the participants, tension and stress began to be felt in the kitchen. Since they were not their original dishes, questions were exchanged back and forth about how to modify the preparations and emerge victorious.

For the third envelope, the ‘black apron’ participants were instructed to add spice to their dishes, thus requiring a new strategy. However, when there were only 20 minutes left to finish the test, Claudia Bahamón, the host of the program, offered them a new envelope that allowed the cooks to decide whether to open it or not.

The decision was three against one, since Sánez was the only one who did not want to receive new instructions. However, the envelope was opened which determined that the four contestants had to return to their original plates.

The hour of discord

Upon arriving at his original stations, Camilo Sáez is the first to express his knowledge and annoyance because he assured that Bonilla did not know what he was doing and had damaged his dish that contained Spanish chickpeas and pork loin.

Sáez had to cook the loin again because the comedian had cooked it too much, and at the end of the dish he commented to the cameras: “It didn’t really add to the plate; rather, it took away from it.”

The most tense moments were experienced when the actor had to take his plate to the lectern and present “Los couyons de la nonna.” Before the chefs tried it, he said that what his partner had made had been a “disaster.”

The actor’s disagreement was not well received by his other colleagues, who commented that they did not think the way Sáenz acted and spoke was appropriate. Furthermore, he assured that by returning to his original plate, ““Everything was on the ground.”

However, the moment ‘Franko’ presented his dish, he apologized to Camilo Sáez for the difficulties and inconveniences that occurred during the test.
