The fair, which was going to be held at the Luis Monti Sports Center in Belén de Escobar, It still does not have a new date defined, Municipal sources indicated to this medium.
“These two events that we organize simultaneously each year represent a party for Escobar but unfortunately they cannot be held in this context of educational crisis in which the national government vetoed the university financing law and attacks the public educational system as a whole. For us, culture is a right and education is our best investment,” explained Mayor Ariel Sujarchuk.
During the meeting, various activities were going to be offered such as book presentations, talks with popular libraries, local bookstores, thematic discussions, and, in addition, the participation of local and national writers, such as Felipe Pigna, was planned.
In the coming weeks, the new schedule of activities and space where the book fair will be held will be known.
“Throughout 2024 we will invest $6.7 billion in education in Escobar. When we finish the Maquinista Savio municipal primary school we will be the only district in the country that will manage all educational levels. In addition, we continue working to have our own University, UniEsco. “That is the importance we give to education in our district and for which we are going to continue working,” the communal chief concluded.
