On Sunday the election of authorities at the Buenos Aires UCRbut the act was far from resolving the political dispute between the two competing sectors. Not even the result of the provisional scrutiny was enough, since the opposition He assures that his minutes have other numbers and they do not recognize the victory of the official list.
The fact is that the provincial bid has a national confrontation behind it, since those who competed for the leadership of the PBA radicalism are Miguel Fernández (bishop of the national senator Maximiliano Abad) and Pablo Domenichini (from the ranks of the senator and president of the national UCR, Martin Lousteau). The latter also had the support of Facundo Manes.

“The provincial board, which responds to the ruling party, “He does not carry out the final scrutiny because he lost in the minutes”he stated to TN Domenichini. “They are challenging, buying time and wanting to install that they won. But they can’t prove it”, he remarked. “They lost and they don’t know what to do,” noted the opposition candidate.
Furthermore, the representatives of the list, Fernando Pérez and Emiliano Bursese, presented a brief to the Justice where they demand that the final scrutiny be carried out and point against the Electoral Board. “He has acted irresponsibly and has proceeded to disseminate results with an alleged official character, exceeding his functions, not guaranteeing the faithful communication of all the data. Beyond not accounting for the veracity of the data that has been taken as a source for the aforementioned publication,” they stated.

In this regard, they request that “resolution 66/2024 of the Partisan Electoral Board of the Province of Buenos Aires be immediately annulled, highlighting that this request constitutes the worst tax that can be presented in an electoral process, and that is, Once the event has ended, the members having paid for it and the local boards having sent the results, the Provincial Electoral Board cannot give certainty about the final results.”
From the ranks of Evolution they maintain that There are poorly made charges in at least 27 districtsin addition to highlighting that the data from Quilmes was not loaded, where Domenichini would have won very clearly. “It is a provisional scrutiny that was poorly carried out and for the sole purpose of want to install that they won”, indicated to this medium.
However, Abad’s hosts pointed to TN that “The real thing is that we beat the province by 4 thousand votes. Then there are some tables like La Matanza, Quilmes, Ezeiza, where they began to copy a larger number as the hours went by, to reach the difference that we had made in the interior and the First section.” And they chirped: “They are going to kick and appeal to Justice and maybe with that excuse they will start the game or do some other pre-planned strategy. But the winner is Miguel Fernández.”
In this regard, this Wednesday Miguel Fernández himself shared a statement in defense of the result of the provisional scrutiny. “Our triumph is unobjectionable. List 23, Radical Unity, won in 92 of the 135 districts, in 6 of the 8 electoral sections, with a favorable difference of 3,208 votes, more than 4%”, states the text.
And he warns the opposition: “That is why we ask the leaders of the Ready Future Radical to do not try to circumvent the sovereign decision of the radical peopleas we have detected in several Municipalities. These types of behaviors reproduce practices that have nothing to do with our values and principles. Possible differences are not resolved by appealing to political behaviors that are foreign to our democratic culture.”
“We are winners of the internal dispute and the data from the scrutiny certificates of our prosecutors leave no doubt in this regard,” the ruling party document states. Although he clarifies: “As we committed to in the campaign, we continue and will continue to call for party unity to rise to the challenges that the national and provincial reality imposes on us.”
Finally, they emphasize that “Miguel Fernández and Elsa llenderrozas, together with the entire list of plenary speakers that emerges from the FINAL SCRUTINY, are going to preside over Buenos Aires radicalism together with all the radicals of the province and are going to work to build an alternative government to the national and provincial governments.”
The fact is that both sectors claim that they have the minutes signed by their prosecutors that prove their victory in the elections. For this reason, the representatives of the opposition list appealed the results released by the provisional scrutiny and insist that the final one be carried out, which at the moment has no date.
