Fire in the La Paz marina, BCS; The fire affected seven boats

Once again, the marinas of the city of La Paz required the intervention of emergency and rescue bodies after a fire broke out in the early hours of this Thursday, November 2, which destroyed seven boats.

The emergency call was given around 4:00 a.m., when workers from the Palmira Marina noticed the fire that was spreading towards boats.


Immediately, elements of the Heroic Fire Department arrived at the scene to control and extinguish the incident.

With the support of elements from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and Civil Protection, they worked for more than six hours to subdue the flames.

By the early hours of the morning of this Thursday, November 2, the agents continued the work of completely extinguishing the fire, although the fire was already under control.


According to workers in the area, the incident began on a boat and simply spread to the surrounding units.

So far there is no official explanation of what could have caused this event; However, the Heroic Fire Department announced that it is already working on the corresponding expertise.

Prior to the report from authorities of the Undersecretary of Civil Protection, it was detailed that seven vessels were hit by the flames: four as a total loss and three with partial damage.
