The mayor of Comodoro Rivadavia, Othar Macharashvili, in dialogue with FM EL CHUBUT, stated that he will work “very hard in everything related to energy, both gas and electricity”, due to the increase that was perceived in rates.

Likewise, he analyzed “how we can generate this energy policy within the framework of this transition so that Chubut, with what it generates, can make compensation from what it buys”, this in order that each “neighbor can have a differential value that it does not impact your pocket so much, I say again, the purchasing power.
Macharashvili highlighted the enormous potential of the region, “we have the best winds and the best wind energy performances in our entire area.”
In that sense, he indicated that in the oil city “we have a park, Morán Park, which was one of the first in Latin America, which we are going to put into revamping to be able to generate energy to be able to inject it.”
This is in order to “not have to buy more energy (from Cammesa) in the market,” since “what one generates is significantly lower than what one buys,” he said.
«Today there is a very good initiative to first generate an energy company at a provincial level, and secondly the municipality is working on a complementary scheme to be part of an energy generation scheme, being partners of those who are private to work together in this,” he noted.
Along these lines, the mayor of Comodoro emphasized the Distributed Energy Law, which allows large consumers and individuals to install solar panels and contribute the surplus energy generated to the electrical grid. «The energy you generate, you inject, then you can consume and the differential that is left over you can inject into the network. And if you lack it, you pay for what you consume,” he stated.
On the other hand, the communal chief reported that he is collaborating with the governor of Chubut, Ignacio “Nacho” Torres, to finalize a debt compensation agreement with the National Government, allowing Chubut to offset the debt it owes to the Nation with works.

«WE ALL CONTINUE WORKING FOR THE SAME GOAL»
Macharashvili maintained that he is on good terms with the new leadership of the Chubut Justicialist Party. “We all continue working for the same objective, which is what led us to lead this city,” he expressed.
Likewise, he stressed that “it led us to people trusting a political project, in a leadership, in leaders, to lead it and in that the responsibility that we are going to have.”
“For this reason, dialogue, construction and emotional intelligence are necessary to be able to address all the issues and those desires that some or other leaders have, perhaps remain secondary to what concerns the needs of the people.” , concluded Othar Macharashvili.
