The Citroën Auto Iregua dealership in Logroño will close its doors on December 31 after more than half a century installed in the capital. This decision will mean the collective dismissal of its forty workers, although company sources clarify that they will seek to relocate some of them to other dealerships they have in the city, such as Renault Auto Urbión or Mercedes Auto Oja.

The Auto Iregua works committee learned yesterday of the decision from the ownership, as confirmed by UGT, although the negotiating committee for the planned termination ERE has not yet been formed, so the details will be known in next dates. The company alleges losses in the last four years and a change in commercial policy by Stellantis, manufacturer of Citroën, which has already been felt in other parts of the country with numerous closures.

Auto Iregua currently has forty workers who will be affected by the closure of the dealership and the workshop, beyond the possible relocations and the agreements that can be reached at a negotiating table with work ahead of them in order to know the justifications. and the conditions of dismissal.

The management also insists on the intention to maintain the Citroën and DS brands in Logroño through other dealerships, so that technical service continues to be offered to current customers and some of their workers can also transfer to them.
