The head of the Potable Water and Sewage Services Operating System (Soapa), Omar Pérez Benítez, stated that Oaxaca de Juárez faces a critical situation and is in the red light due to water deficit.

Right now we are working with 270 liters per second, which gives us a schedule at this time, maximum up to 25 to 28 days.
After stating that the water distribution time will depend on the area, the official pointed out that the difficulty occurs especially in the upper parts of the colonies, where they must send pipes if the liquid cannot arrive.

Although the federal government indicated that the country has 70% water availability, Pérez Benítez pointed out that in the Central Valleys there is no available aquifer like in the Papaloapan Basin and other areas.
