Unanimously, the State Congress approved the reforms to the Women’s Law for a Life Without Violence of the State, to include within the State System of Prevention, Attention, Punishment and Eradication of Violence against Women the participation of the Duranguense Institute of Youth (IDJ).
“It is of utmost importance that within the agencies that make up the aforementioned State System, the Duranguense Youth Institute can be incorporated, so that, within the scope of its competence, it can participate in the implementation of actions necessary for prevention, attention and eradication of violence against women,” considered deputy Verónica Pérez Herrera when reasoning her vote in favor of the ruling.
He added that the participation of young people through this organization will benefit the public policies that are implemented in this matter, since they have always actively intervened against violence against women.
In this way, the legislator explained that it will be up to the Duranguense Youth Institute to execute, within the scope of its powers, the necessary actions for the prevention, attention and eradication of violence against women.
In addition, to celebrate cooperation and coordination agreements on the matter, participate in the approval of the State Program to Prevent, Address, Punish and Eradicate Violence against Women.
