Electoral ban
In Argentina, article 71 of the National Electoral Code prohibits “acts of public proselytism” and “publishing or disseminating surveys and projections on the result of the election during the election and up to three hours after its close.” That is, only at 9 p.m. on that Sunday it is legal to broadcast numbers.

Due to the electoral ban, some activities are prohibited from 8 a.m. on Friday, October 20, and until 9 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, three hours after the close of the 2023 general elections. Some prohibitions begin at a later time with the opening of voting and others are lifted at the time when voting hours close.
Is it mandatory to vote?
Voting is mandatory. Those who do not comply with this provision must justify why they did not go. Those who do not do so must pay a fine.
The 36 million voters who appear on the electoral roll are authorized to vote and can do so with any of the documents allowed to vote.
