The future implementation of the Line 9 It will mean different milestones for Santiago Metro. In addition to benefiting 1,300,000 people in the Metropolitan Region, the underground transportation network will incorporate the commune of La Pintana for the first time in his 48 years of service.

When will its first section be in operation?
The future route includes a total of 19 stations that will connect eight communes: Recoleta, Santiago, San Miguel, Saint Joaquin, The farm, San Ramon, La Pintana and High Bridge.
However, in its environmental impact study – to which it had access Meganoticias.cl—, Metro made reference to the 14 stations that would be the first to operate for the mobility of citizens.
These 14 stops (strictly speaking there are 15, because there is a feasibility station for future authorization) will be distributed in the aforementioned communes, except in Puente Altowhose respective stations will be contemplated in a second stage of the project.

Section 2
Behold Four Seasons deployed along 4.1 kilometers. Its entry into operation is scheduled for 2032. The order, reference name and location of the stops are:
- Puente Cal y Canto Station (Recoleta)
- Santa Lucía Station (Santiago)
- Matta Station (Santiago)
- Ñuble Station (Santiago)
With respect to section 3which consists of the extension of Line 9 to the south, until reaching Plaza Puente Alto, this will house the remaining five seasons to reach the total of 19. It is expected that its inauguration will be in 2033.
