It is a global study released by the consulting firm Voices! and WIN International which was carried out in 39 countries. In the public opinion research they addressed two main axes related to mental health: self-assessment of stress and sleep.

Founder and CEO of Voices!, Constanza Cilley, said: “The findings highlight the need for a more nuanced approach to mental health policy, one that considers gender and age differences to effectively address the causes of stress.”

“Mental health constitutes an essential facet of the general well-being of individuals, so its attention and care are a priority, especially in current times,” Cilley explained along the same lines.

The public opinion research sought to understand the reasons underlying the population’s state of stress. “Respondents were asked to think about the last time they had been really stressed and indicate what had stressed them out: work, not working, not having money, family, health, life changes ( such as a move or a change of job), environmental disasters or wars in the world,” the text details.

Globally, 24% of respondents said the last time they were under severe stress was for work. Next, 21% highlighted the lack of money in the workplace.

“Family” was also mentioned as a cause of stress and reached 19% of responses. Other minor reasons included health, lack of employment and “life changes.” “Wars around the world and environmental disasters appear last on the list, with 4% and 2% of mentions, respectively.”

For those surveyed from Argentina, the main cause was lack of moneymentioned by 29%. “Work came in second place, with 21% of the responses, while unemployment or lack of employment was indicated by 17%,” the work indicated.

Survey on the level of sleep in Argentina: “60% have a positive opinion”

“In Argentina, 60% of respondents have a positive opinion regarding their own dream, while 4 out of 10 respondents (36%) evaluate it negatively,” the work highlights.

Among those who valued sleep quality positively, the male group stood out, which surpassed the female segment by a 10% difference. Furthermore, the consultant highlighted how “the older the respondents are, the higher the educational level achieved and the higher the socioeconomic level” the positive responses increase.

“When analyzing the sociodemographic results, we see that the negative evaluation grows among women (42% vs. 30% among men) and among young people aged 18 to 24 (42% vs. 29% among those over 65) “, reported the study carried out by the consulting firm.
