PUCV begins Operation Renta 2024 for the Valparaíso Region

In the premises of the School of Business and Economics of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, located in Recreo, the official launch in the Valparaíso Region of Operation Renta 2024 was held, an instance in which academics, students and alumni of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences will have a fundamental role through advising taxpayers.

On the occasion, the regional director of the Internal Revenue Service, Sergio Flores, pointed out that “for us it has a very relevant significance, because of what the University represents. Through alliances with study houses, we can provide guidance and assistance to taxpayers so that they can comply with their tax obligations.”

For the rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Nelson Vásquez, “this instance is extremely important, since the resources collected from Operation Rent are destined for the development of the country and, above all, to support education processes. , management and investment, and go to support the most needy in Chilean society.”

In total, there are about 4,700,000 people nationwide who must carry out Operation Income during this year, while around 450,000 taxpayers will file taxes in the Valparaíso Region. Mauricio Campos, regional director and Treasurer of Valparaíso (s), said that “we are making a very big effort to be able to deliver the payments on April 26 to those who carry out the procedure during the first days of this month.”

It should be noted that for those who carry out Operation Income 2024, between April 1 and 8, the deposit of the refund will be carried out on April 26, while for those who do it between April 9 and 19, the deposit It will be done on May 14. The last two groups are for those who complete the process between April 20 and 26 and between April 27 and May 10. For the first of these groups the payment will be deposited on May 20, while for the second the refund will be available on May 28. For those who request payment via check, the delivery date of the document will be from May 30.


In the first instance, between April 1 and 30 there will be free in-person assistance to taxpayers who are natural persons with income from work, in the Gimpert Building (Avenida Brasil 2830, Valparaíso).


Added to the above, in this version of Operation Income, is advice to Small and Medium Enterprises, which had not been considered in previous processes. To this end, a fair will be held between Monday, April 15 and Friday, April 19, “with the idea of ​​providing comprehensive and first-line advice on tax matters. We will have alumni, whom SMEs do not always have access to,” explained the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the PUCV, María Teresa Blanco.

“We are contributing to our environment and our social role as a university, providing support to SMEs,” he added.

Likewise, for the first time since its recent creation, the Taxpayer Ombudsman’s Office will become part of the process that is developed in the PUCV, providing free judicial advice in the tax area, if this is necessary. “The Taxpayer Ombudsman will provide legal support for higher levels of claim,” said Professor Blanco.

Innova from the PUCV joins this instance, which will give tips to SMEs on financing, business models, digital marketing, among others, and the Association of Senior Managers of the Faculties of Administration (ASFAE), thus generating a network with 30 universities distributed throughout the country.
