This Sunday, April 7, the quadrant for the Santo Domingo sector in the Bocas de Aguabonita village, rural area of ​​San José del Guaviare, comes into service.

The announcement was made by Colonel Alexander Obando, commander of the Guaviare Police Department to Marandua Noticias. This new patrol comes after a commitment to the community agreed upon in the Community and Community Council held last March.

According to Colonel Obando, this unit will have in its functions the control of public space, surveillance, protection of minors and women with the purple patrol and prevention of the consumption of psychoactive substances.

Regarding the communal and tourism quadrants, the officer assured that the pilot plan of the new police model is being carried out, which will have greater rapprochement with merchants and community leaders. The tourism quadrant will be allocated to the boardwalk area in the Primero de Octubre neighborhood, a commitment made between the Community Board and Mayor Willy Rodríguez.
