The River Inspection of San José del Guaviare delivered a new report on the increase in flow in the Guaviare River. The rains were a determining factor during the last few days in the region.

Hugo Pinto, river inspector of San José del Guaviare, indicated that the river increased until it reached 4.83 meters on the morning of April 1. “There is no concrete definition of behavior. Among the first reports that they (IDEAM) had given was that the dry season was going to extend until the month of May,” he said.

The inspection assured that with the level that the Guaviare River has been registering, cargo vessels have begun to arrive at the port of San José del Guaviare.
