LOGROÑO, April 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The sale and purchase of homes in La Rioja in February has increased by 3.67 percent compared to the same month of the previous year (compared to an increase of 5.77 percent at the national level), after leaving negative rates and adding a total of 395 operations. If compared to the previous month, the increase in the community has been 13.18 percent, according to data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

Of the purchase and sale operations recorded in February in La Rioja, 360 were carried out on free homes and 35 on officially protected properties. Based on the age of the properties, 50 operations corresponded to new homes, and 345 were related to used buildings.

In February, a total of 666 home operations were carried out. In addition to the 395 purchases and sales, 168 were inheritances, 18 donations and 0 exchanges.

In total, during February, 1,314 urban properties were transferred in La Rioja through 823 sales, 287 inheritances, 33 donations, 1 exchange and 170 other types of operations.

Likewise, 882 transfers of rural properties were made, among which 338 inheritances, 255 sales, 31 donations, 0 exchanges and 258 other types of operations were registered.

By territory, Navarra is the community where home sales performed best in February in an interannual rate with an increase of 50.56 percent, followed by Galicia, 38.41 percent more, and Murcia (+19.51 percent ). On the opposite side of the ranking are the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands and Andalusia with falls of 12.04 percent, 10.29 percent and 1.47 percent, respectively.
