Mayor of Paipa spoke out against the alleged persecution denounced by the Tejiendo Raíces Corporation

In response to the complaint on social networks made by the Tejiendo Raíces Corporation, in which they stated that Mayor German Camacho was allegedly persecuting them and expelling them from the facilities of a cultural hall in the Fátima neighborhood, the president spoke into our microphones.

It must be remembered that the corporation stated that the municipal police inspection, by order of the mayor, would have evicted them from the facilities where they carry out activities with children in the sector, ensuring that this is one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the city.

According to the mayor’s statement, the events occurred due to a process a few years ago in which the neighborhood’s Community Action Board requested the restitution of the space because the Corporation had had it for a long time. Furthermore, he stated that he had previously met with one of the leaders of the corporation with whom he had reached agreements.

“Finally it came to a police process and it was my legal responsibility as mayor to recover that space. Very unfortunate, because I met with Sergio Forero who I believe is one of the people who lead that corporation. We met and reached agreements where he practically delivered the goods at will because it was our turn to do so and we sat down so that he could continue doing his social activity,” said Camacho.

On the other hand, he expressed his annoyance at having used minors in the video of the complaint released on social networks and stated that “I believe that we are going to elevate this to other instances because we cannot allow, first of all, that it be played like this.” with the children and secondly with some headlines where there is a persecution. I believe that by law we are going to carry out this process.”

He concluded by assuring that the legal authorities will be the ones who will establish what corresponds to the property.
