The Ministry of Production, through the Mendoza Agency for Innovation, Science and Technology (AMICyT), invites you to participate in a new training space for leaders in the construction sector.

Level I Assembly Microcredential is an initiative promoted jointly between the University Technological Institute (ITU) and the UNCuyo Liaison Area, with the aim of responding to the current demands of the construction sector in terms of updating and knowledge of new technological tools. The proposal consists of 4 face-to-face and virtual modules.

Regarding the proposal, Víctor Oliva, coordinator of the SICONM Modern Construction Systems Network, from the UNCuyo Linkage and Technology Transfer area, commented: “This arose in 2022 when a group of companies approached the university expressing the need to work together about a great demand that they had, linked mainly to construction systems and the lack of knowledge of the staff, “

According to Oliva, the failure resulted in poorly done installations and, therefore, constant complaints from customers. “This had nothing to do with poor service from the supplier companies or with the product itself. They simply observed that there was a general lack of knowledge in the workforce of the sector,” she highlighted.

The training will include basic knowledge of measurement and welding and then review specific content on construction systems that will allow participants to determine what they want to delve into.

When Oliva was consulted about the modality of the course, he highlighted: “There will be 4 modules that will be offered twice a week and will begin on May 13 and end in June. The training is technical and practical, within the companies themselves and they will be the ones who will later evaluate whether the participant is carrying out the work well or poorly.”

The training will allow the incorporation of knowledge in a total of 150 hours of work and they will be certified by the National University of Cuyo, the ITU and the companies LTN Group, Cassaforma, Extra Brut, New Panel, Industrias Chirino and Arga Work Market. Once the initiative is completed, the person will be qualified to work and provide services in any company that works with this type of paneling.

“Subsequently, we will try to advance in new levels of training in order to incorporate new, more specialized knowledge, for next year. Prior to this, we will evaluate how this first experience was carried out and what the impact it had on the participants was,” Oliva concluded.

Invest for personal and professional development

Those interested in being part of the proposal must make an investment of $230,000. If you are part of the UNCuyo community, you will be able to access a discount.
