In an emotional and attended ceremony, the Center for Fathers, Mothers and Guardians of the Valparaíso Community Autism Center was officially established, as its legal personality was formalized. The activity brought together more than 20 people representing the more than 200 families that have been served at the facility located in the former Japan School of Valparaíso, and which is managed by the Municipal Corporation of Valparaíso.
From the board of directors of the new organization, secretary Yaritza Julio, explained that “We had a very important meeting because we formalized our directive together with all the partners, who are also parents of the community. We are very happy because thanks to this we are going to achieve many benefits for parents and children. We hope this continues to grow in the future, because this is the beginning of many things to come.”
For Carla Loezar, technical director of the Valparaíso Community Autism Center, this milestone “It is very important for us, because it allows caregivers to get to know each other, work together and we can work for and for the autistic people in our community.”
The social worker of the Community Autism Center, Gonzalo Verdugo, explained that the constitution of this new organization began to be generated through community activities, bringing together fathers, mothers and caregivers of the first, second and third cycle of children who have been cared for. in the middle.
“The legal personality that we have witnessed today in this beautiful celebration means growth, not only for the Community Autism Center, but for its families and the families that are in all the territories of Valparaíso, passing through its 12 CESFAM that are 12 large territories of our commune.
