According to preliminary reports, the ninth grade student, identified as Sharit Juliana Maecha, decided to leave the school route and walk to her home, located about 20 minutes from the urban area.

However, when her grandparents noticed her absence, they became alarmed and went out to look for her. Unfortunately, it was her grandfather who discovered the teenager’s body in a ravine.

“We deeply regret the loss of Juliana Maecha, a 15-year-old girl who lived in a rural area of ​​the municipality of San Juan de Río Seco with her grandparents. She used to travel regularly to the educational institution where she was in ninth grade,” said Ericka González. , the mayor of San Juan de Río Seco.

Likewise, the mayor pointed out that as a local administration, we are offering our support and support to the family in this difficult time, showing our complete solidarity,” she added.

The family is requesting the collaboration of the community to cover Juliana’s funeral expenses, since they lack the necessary resources to do so.

Likewise, he expressed his condolences to Juliana’s loved ones and friends.

Currently, authorities are carrying out investigations to clarify the circumstances behind the teenager’s death.
