The severity of the injuries suffered led to the tragic outcome, with his death being confirmed minutes after his admission to the Pilot Hospital.
Gil, known by the nickname “Paloma”, was a member of the Indigenous and Social Alternative Movement (MAIS), for which he ran in the 2023 territorial elections. During said race, He managed to obtain more than 1,300 votes, thus securing his position on the Municipal Council.
