- The Chamber of Mines of Chile expresses its deep condolences to the family of the carabineros brutally murdered in Cañete and to the entire Institution, which today commemorates another year of existence.
The union repudiates this cowardly attack against those who protect and defend the lives of Chileans. “We demand that the authorities have all the resources to catch the culprits and bring them to justice. It is essential that in that Region of the country the State restores the rule of law, which has been seriously broken many years ago,” said the President of the Chilean Mining Chamber, Miguel Zauschkevich Domeyko.
“Likewise, we urgently call on the Legislative Branch to approve the bills that are pending, in order to restore order and tranquility not only in that Region, but throughout the country. This is essential to give confidence to investors to develop their projects, for the benefit of all the country’s workers,” said Zauschkevich.
Finally, he pointed out that it is urgent to return to the path of security and tranquility that characterized Chile, for the good of the country and each of its citizens.
