A man was arrested by the Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI) for a frustrated femicide in the commune of LoncocheAraucania region.

The situation was revealed when the woman was admitted to a healthcare center, presenting various bruises and burns on a large part of his body. It was at that moment that the attack was attributed to the victim’s partner.
Given this, the subject was identified and detained by the police.
The commissioner Francisco Albarran, from the Homicide Brigade, gave some information about the frustrated femicide. “They went to the commune of Loncoche because a woman with 80% of her body burned was admitted to the hospital in that city.”he explained.
“According to the investigation carried out at the scene, It is possible to verify that a couple, a man and a woman, had an argument in the context of domestic violence; moment when the man doused the woman with fuel and later lit her on fire“added the commissioner.
Due to the severity of her injuries, the woman was transferred to Temuco and then She was transferred to a specialized burn care center located in the Metropolitan region.
On the other hand, the 33-year-old subject, the perpetrator of the crime, was arrested and during this Sunday he will go to detention control.
