Granma, Cuba.- The members of the Provincial Committee of the Party in its ordinary plenary session, in Bayamo, asked the Granma workers and their families to carry out massive, colorful and patriotic parades for May Day.

Yudelquis Ortiz, the highest political leader in the territory, said that they will express Unity, the validity of the ideology of Martí, the historical leaders of the Revolution and Fidel, as well as the consolidation of a democratic, free, fair, humanist, supportive society, cultured and industrious.

Under the central motto For Cuba, together we createGranma holds Special Morning Ceremonies this Monday, in front of the headquarters of the provincial Committee and the 13 municipal committees, in which the attendance of thousands of workers at the parades will be ratified.

At the close of these marches there will be dance events in each municipality of Granma, and specifically in Bayamo, the Original de Manzanillo will perform a concert.

Deal with indiscipline

The Plenary of the Party in Granma analyzed the deficiencies of the sugar program, the progress of the harvest and the production of construction materials, and the confrontation with crime and corruption.

That province has serious delays in sugar production, due to lack of fuel, motor and hydraulic oils and other resources, and due to subjective problems, but it is not giving up on completing its plan.

The top political leader in that territory, Yudelquis Ortiz, called to confront totally counterproductive manifestations of corruption with our social system, which is one of social justice and equity.

Furthermore, the party leader insisted that the cadres link up with the people in the neighborhoods, to avoid indiscipline, such as large concentrations of solid waste, which can be eliminated with means of animal traction, due to the lack of fuel for trucks.
